How We Built a 10-Site Network That Ranks
A behind-the-scenes look at the properties behind Authority Links — and what running them taught us about links.

The Press Quarter network didn't start as a link program. It started as ten products we genuinely use and ship — logo tools, template galleries, design resources. Ranking them taught us more about links than any case study ever could.
We earned links by being useful
Every property exists to solve a real problem. Free tools and galleries attract natural links because people reference them. That's the foundation: authority you can't fake.
Relevance came for free
Because the sites cluster around design, web, and SaaS, links between related topics reinforced each other. The network became topically dense — exactly the environment where new links perform best.
What surprised us
- Traffic compounds slowly, then fast. The first year on each site felt flat. Once referring domains passed a threshold, rankings accelerated sharply.
- A few great links beat many weak ones. Pruning low-quality links improved performance more than chasing volume.
- Permanence matters. Pages we kept live for years became our strongest linking assets.
Why we opened it up
Once the network ranked, we realized a single contextual placement across all ten properties gives a new site something rare: relevant authority, fast. That's the bundle we now offer — built on sites we actually run.
